Breeding Animals

We got our first Red Angus in 1984, beginning in 1985 to collect all weights and keep data on the calves. We have always searched for bulls with characteristics to compliment our cows keeping good temperament as an essential. We now have thick deep cows that get "fat" on grass and keep on hay. Our EPD's are accurate and are always used in breeding decisions.

Starting in 2012-13 most of our calves will be fed and evaluated here. Our bull calves will all be evaluated before they are selected for sale. This will include for gain, carcass quality from ultrasound measurements, scrotal development and conformation. Spring born calves will be offered for sale from about twelve to fourteen months of age and the summer calves will be offered for sale during their second winter.
